The Way Bad book’s all printed, and to celebrate, here’s an alternate cover that ended up not being used. The original plan was for this to be a special type of cover. The background (the pile of stuff) was gonna be printed on the actual book cover and colored in blue. The characters and text were gonna be printed all in green on a cellophane page that covered the whole thing to make a complete image. Kinda like an animation cell on top of a background. You’d flip the cellophane page to reveal just the pile of stuff underneath.
The cover that’s ACTUALLY being used is like a postcard with the cover graphic on it embedded in the book cover. Rad shit. Get stoked.

Here’s that last one again, but I colored it in. I gotta figure out how to get a decent scan; the colors don’t look as good here as they do in real life, and you can’t even SEE the grey shading on the skull.

I don’t know if color ever did anything to deserve it, but I’ve started fucking around with color. Here’s some early experiments. Lemme know if you think this whole ‘Way Bad in color’ thing might end up being a half-decent venture somewhere down the line. I like the ‘fun in the sun’ one.
